Our Approach

We can train dogs. We can't train commitment.

Every dog is capable of learning.

The question isn't whether your dog can make progress. It's whether you're ready to make the journey with them.

At Curbed Behaviors, we believe successful training is built on partnership. We coach dogs, but we also coach the people who live with them every day. Because lasting results don't come from a single session—they come from understanding, consistency, and a willingness to keep showing up.

That's why every program we offer is designed to give you the knowledge, confidence, and support to continue long after training ends.

What Guides Us

We coach people—not just dogs.

Your dog spends far more time with you than they ever will with us. Our job is to help you understand how to communicate with your dog confidently, both during training and long after your program ends.

Every behavior has a story.

Behavior is communication.

Instead of focusing only on what your dog is doing, we work to understand why it's happening so we can create a thoughtful plan that supports lasting change.

Training should prepare you for everyday life.

Dogs don't live in classrooms. They live in neighborhoods, parks, patios, coffee shops, and family homes.

We believe training should happen where life happens.

Progress isn't always linear.

Some days will feel easier than others, and that's a normal part of learning.

Our focus isn't perfection. It's helping you continue moving forward with consistency, patience, and confidence.

What You'll Gain

When you train with Curbed Behaviors, you'll leave with more than a better-behaved dog.

You'll gain:

  • A clearer understanding of how your dog learns and communicates.

  • Practical skills you can apply long after training ends.

  • Coaching tailored to your goals, not a one-size-fits-all program.

  • Support as you continue practicing between sessions.

  • Confidence to handle everyday situations together.

Because our goal isn't simply to help your dog succeed during training.

It's to help you succeed long after it's over.

The Team

Curbed Behaviors is a family-owned business led by husband-and-wife team Terry and Alejandra. As parents to twin girls and dog owners themselves, they understand that dogs are part of everyday family life. Every program reflects an approach centered on practical coaching, clear communication, and helping owners develop the confidence to continue long after training ends.

Ready to Get Started?

If you're looking for someone to simply do the work for you, we may not be the right fit.

If you're ready to learn alongside your dog and invest in a relationship that lasts, we'd love to help.
